Kay’Irian Menyal Lenay Barber, a 23-year-old resident of Alexandria, Louisiana, died on July 28, 2024, due to apparent gunshot wounds. The incident occurred in the 2200 block of West Sycamore Street in Alexandria, where responding officers found her and another individual, 33-year-old Shawn Harper of Pineville, Louisiana, deceased from gunshot wounds.
