In the early morning hours of June 23, 2023, a violent intrusion shattered the quiet of a Lakeside Drive apartment in Alexandria, Louisiana. A 34-year-old man, Andrew D. Howard, allegedly forced his way into the residence and opened fire, critically injuring 25-year-old Tyruin Green. The attack prompted Green and another occupant of the apartment to flee on foot in search of help, their escape marking the beginning of a manhunt for the suspected gunman.
