On a summer morning in Alexandria, Louisiana, the community was shaken by the discovery of a local resident's untimely death. Marlow Trottie, a 35-year-old Black transgender woman, was found deceased on June 8, 2026, in the 2400 block of Cummins Street. The Alexandria Police Department responded to a call at approximately 7:30 a.m. and soon after, her death was ruled a homicide, launching an intensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding her tragic end.
