Neil Wayne Eddleman, 47, went missing on October 17, 2003, during a fishing trip off the coast of Naples, Florida. He was accompanied by his 13-year-old son, Neil Alan Eddleman, and a family friend, 61-year-old Gary Lisk. The trio set out on a 24-foot boat called *What's Left*, heading toward a popular fishing site near a shipwreck southwest of Marco Island. Conditions were calm, and the group had taken proper safety precautions.
The last known contact from the boat was at 7:00 p.m. that evening, when Neil Alan tried to call his girlfriend. When the group failed to return the next day, as scheduled, Neil Wayne’s wife reported them missing. Despite an extensive search by the U.S. Coast Guard, no trace of the boat or the men was found until November 3, 2003, when the wreckage of the *What's Left* washed ashore near Cape Canaveral, more than 500 miles away. Lisk’s body was found inside the boat, but neither Neil Wayne nor his son has ever been located.
There were some strange circumstances surrounding the disappearance. For instance, Lisk’s house locks were changed after he went missing, and his computer files were mysteriously corrupted.
