Who killed Shamekka Garnette?
In the late summer of 2004, the community of Alexandria, Louisiana, was unsettled by the disappearance and subsequent death of a young woman. Shamekka Garnette, a 20-year-old African-American female, was last seen on the evening of Friday, August 13, 2004. She had been at a party on Old Boyce Road and was seen leaving at approximately 11:30 p.m. in a friend's vehicle. A sense of unease began to grow as days passed with no word from her.
