On September 4, 2024, 15-year-old Kenneth Burrell Jr. was fatally shot at The Hub apartments, a residential complex located on Highland Road in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The incident occurred around 10:12 p.m. when several juveniles were playing with a handgun, resulting in a shot being fired accidentally.
