LeShawn Paul Meaux, a 34-year-old man from Abbeville, Louisiana, was fatally shot on the afternoon of September 24, 2024, in the parking lot of a Dollar General Market in Kaplan, Louisiana. The incident marked the first homicide in Kaplan for the year.
