In the small town of Kentwood, Louisiana, the evening of October 4, 2024, was shattered by violence that claimed the life of 38-year-old Renaldo Antwine Brumfield. A Black male born on January 26, 1986, to Debra and the late LeOtis Brumfield, he was a man raised in the very community where his life would tragically end. That Friday night, just before 9:30 p.m., the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office received a call about a fight unfolding in the 12000 block of Oak Hill Road.
