On October 18, 2024, a fatal shooting occurred in the 600 block of Dejean Circle in Crowley, Louisiana, resulting in the death of 41-year-old Travis Trentel Thorne. The incident happened around 9:30 PM when Crowley police responded to reports of a shooting.
