In the early morning hours of Tuesday, August 15, 2023, the life of 42-year-old Willie Y. Dixon was cut short in a fatal shooting in Lexington, Kentucky. Responding to a call just before 5 a.m., Lexington police officers arrived at a residence on Creek Path Lane to find Mr. Dixon suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Fayette County Coroner's Office at 6:43 a.m.
Authorities immediately launched a homicide investigation into the death of the male victim.
