In the late hours of a Wednesday evening in Louisville, Kentucky, a tragic scene unfolded in the Park Hill neighborhood that would cut short the lives of two young people. On March 13, 2024, police were called to the 1700 block of St. Louis Avenue to investigate a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, officers discovered 23-year-old Louis House and 23-year-old Da'Vionna Sloane inside a vehicle, both suffering from gunshot wounds.
Emergency services transported House and Sloane to the
University of Louisville Hospital. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, both individuals succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced dead. It was later revealed that Sloane was pregnant at the time of her death. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office confirmed the identities of both victims.
The Louisville Metro Police Department's Homicide Unit is actively investigating the double homicide. At this time, authorities have not publicly identified any suspects or made any arrests in connection with the shooting.
