On September 26, 2024, a homicide investigation was initiated by the Georgetown Police Department in Georgetown, Kentucky, following the shooting death of Michael Watson. Watson, who was found with an apparent gunshot wound, was pronounced dead at the scene in the 300 block of East Washington Street.
