On March 25, 2023, Patrick D. Johnson Jr., a 20-year-old resident of Portland, Oregon, was fatally shot in a triple homicide that occurred in the North Portland area. Johnson was traveling in a car with two other victims, Eskender Tamra, 17, and Babu Daudi 19, when their vehicle was targeted by gunfire. The incident happened on North Foss Avenue near University Park, where police responded to reports of heavy gunfire at 12:23 p.m..
