Jose Valentin Perez Jr., a 30-year-old resident of the St. Helens community in Portland, Oregon, died on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at Emanuel Hospital in Portland. The cause of his death was determined to be homicide by gunshot, as confirmed by the Medical Examiner.
