On December 24, 2023, Edward Javier-Perez, a 29-year-old resident of Lawrence, Massachusetts, was fatally shot at the Energy Lounge nightclub located at 459 Broadway in Lawrence. The incident occurred early Sunday morning, with emergency services responding to the scene around 12:20 a.m. Javier-Perez was found suffering from a gunshot wound and was immediately aided by EMS. Despite the efforts, he was transported to Lawrence General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
