In the early hours of a Tuesday morning, the quiet of a Brockton, Massachusetts neighborhood was shattered by violence that claimed the life of 56-year-old Sheron Y. Trowers, a Black female. On April 2, 2024, Trowers was returning to her Ash Street home from a trip to Jamaica where she had attended her uncle's funeral. She never made it inside. In what law enforcement has described as an ambush, she was shot multiple times in her driveway.
