In the early hours of a Tuesday morning, the quiet of a Brockton, Massachusetts neighborhood was shattered by violence that claimed the life of 56-year-old Sheron Y. Trowers, a Black female. On April 2, 2024, Trowers was returning to her Ash Street home from a trip to Jamaica where she had attended her uncle's funeral. She never made it inside.
