On October 2, 2024, a series of violent incidents occurred in Worcester, Massachusetts, resulting in the deaths of two individuals, including 40-year-old Yubar Perez.

Perez was killed in a shooting that took place at a home on Heroult Street (also referred to as Heroult Road) in Worcester. The incident occurred around 2:20 p.m. when police responded to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found Perez, who was shot and later died at a hospital due to his injuries.
