Death by Force

On February 27, 2023, at approximately 4:15 AM, the Munster Police Department responded to a report of a person who appeared to be shot and laying on the ground outside a vehicle in the far north loading dock area of MRC Global, located at 101-45th Street in Munster, Indiana. Upon arrival, officers found Lanier R. Miller, a 48-year-old resident of South Holland, Illinois, unresponsive and pronounced him dead at the scene due to an apparent gunshot wound to the head.
