In a Fort Wayne, Indiana hotel room, a young woman's life was tragically cut short in what the authorities would later describe as a violent end to a relationship. Melissa Trevino, a 22-year-old Hispanic female, was discovered deceased on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, inside the Quality Inn on West Washington Center Road. Her death was the result of a gunshot wound, and the Allen County Coroner's Office officially ruled it a homicide. She was the city's 12th homicide victim of the year.
