On a late summer evening in Indianapolis, Indiana, the life of 23-year-old Dantavis Anthony Hayden was tragically cut short. On August 17, 2023, Hayden was fatally shot in a residential area on the city's near-west side. The incident, which also left two other individuals wounded, unfolded in the 500 block of Lynn Street, a few blocks northwest of the White River bridge over West Michigan Street.
