On a Tuesday afternoon in Indianapolis, what began as an ordinary day ended in tragedy for William Edward Hodges Jr.. The 32-year-old was fatally shot on October 17, 2023, in a violent encounter on the city's far east side. Known affectionately as 'EJ' to his friends and family, Hodges was a beloved husband, father, son, and brother.
