On November 1, 2023, the body of 15-year-old Janiya Carr was discovered in a wooded area behind the Carriage House East Apartments, located in the 10000 block of Aristocrat North Drive on the northeast side of Indianapolis. Carr, a student at Arsenal Tech high school, had been reported missing by her family over the Halloween weekend, with the official missing person report filed on Monday.
