In the autumn of 2023, the life of Kevin L. Humphrey Jr., a 32-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short. On November 3, 2023, in the city of Muncie, Indiana, Humphrey fell victim to gun violence. The incident that claimed his life also resulted in the deaths of two other individuals, 76-year-old Douglas Lee Starr and 45-year-old Sarah R. Barnes.
