On February 19, 2013, Dexter J. Gardner, 26, was shot and killed in a tragic incident in Tampa, Florida. The shooting took place in the 2900 block of East 22nd Avenue, where Gardner and two others were hanging out in front of a residence. According to reports, a group of suspects approached the victims, opened fire, and then fled the scene on foot to a nearby car.
