In the late hours of a Saturday in Indianapolis, tragedy befell David M. Young, a 38-year-old Black/African American man. On October 19, 2024, just before 10:30 p.m., the sound of gunfire shattered the night in the 100 block of North Oxford Avenue, near the intersection of East Washington and North Rural streets.
