On February 25, 2023, a deadly shooting occurred in the Ashburn neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, resulting in the death of 16-year-old Darquan T. Smith and the injury of a 36-year-old woman.
The incident took place just before 10:30 p.m. in the 3400 block of West 79th Street.
