Daniel Rios, a 17-year-old boy, was fatally shot on April 7, 2023, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred during a fight on Chicago's Northwest Side. According to police reports, the altercation took place in the 6700 block of West Belmont Avenue around 7 p.m. Daniel Rios got into a fight with someone he knew, and during the confrontation, the other individual pulled out a handgun and shot Rios once in the stomach before fleeing the scene.
