On April 8, 2023, Timothy Taylor, a 30-year-old man from Chicago, Illinois, was fatally shot in the Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago. The incident occurred around 5:40 p.m. when Taylor and a 24-year-old man were on the street in the 7000 block of South Lafayette Avenue. A vehicle approached, and someone inside opened fire on the two individuals.
