On June 24, 2018, in Chicago's West Pullman neighborhood, 21-year-old African American male Terrance Day was fatally shot in the chest. The incident occurred around 6 p.m. in the 11900 block of South Michigan Avenue. Another individual, a 26-year-old man, was also shot in the thigh during the same incident; he was transported to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized.
