In the early morning hours of October 3, 2021, the sound of gunfire shattered the weekend calm in downtown Mason City, Iowa. Near the Happy Donkey Bar on South Federal Avenue, a violent encounter left 35-year-old Christopher Tucker of Garner, Iowa, with multiple gunshot wounds.
