According to reports from Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office, Malik Jarmen was involved in a fight around 9:15 p.m. Inside the elevator, he was shot once in the abdomen.
After realizing he had been shot, he was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
