On June 19, 2023, a tragic shooting occurred in the West Garfield Park area of Chicago, Illinois, resulting in the death of 17-year-old Shaniya Robinson. The incident happened late Monday night when someone in a dark-colored sedan opened fire in the 3800 block of West Gladys Avenue. Shaniya, who was on the front porch of a home, was shot in the eye and pronounced dead at the scene.
