On June 23, 2023, Antonio Andrade, a 39-year-old man from Chicago, Illinois, was fatally shot in the Back of the Yards neighborhood. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. when Andrade was standing on the sidewalk in the 4700 block of South Ada Street. Someone opened fire, striking him in the back.
