On June 25, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in the Little Italy neighborhood of Chicago, resulting in the death of 19-year-old Jeleal Goins. The shooting took place in the 1300 block of West Taylor Street, where Goins was a passenger in a rideshare car. At approximately 8:55 p.m., a man approached the vehicle on foot, pulled out a gun, and fired several shots before running away from the scene.
