On July 3, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in the Little Village neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, resulting in the deaths of Karina Gonzalez, 48, and her 15-year-old daughter, Daniela Alvarez. The shooter was identified as Jose Alvarez, 67, the husband of Karina Gonzalez and the father of Daniela and their 18-year-old son, Jesus Emmanuel Alvarez.
