Anton Benoit, a 31-year-old man from the Chatham neighborhood in Chicago, was fatally shot on July 26, 2023. The incident occurred at a Shell gas station located at the corner of East 86th Street and South State Street. Surveillance cameras captured the moment when suspects exited a black Dodge Durango and opened fire on Benoit, who was at pump number one around 4:10 p.m. on a Wednesday afternoon.
