Charles E. Hobson Sr., an 86-year-old resident of the Auburn Gresham neighborhood in Chicago, Illinois, was fatally shot on September 23, 2023. The incident occurred just before 10 a.m. in the 8100 block of South Throop Street, outside his home where he had lived for over 60 years.
