Martell Thomas, a 30-year-old African American man, was fatally shot on July 6, 2020, in the North Lawndale neighborhood of Chicago, IL. The incident occurred around 11:10 p.m. in the 3600 block of West Douglas Boulevard. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Martell Thomas unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Mt. Sinai Hospital in critical condition but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival. The Cook County medical examiner's office later ...
