On October 18, 2023, 46-year-old Reynold Rainge was fatally shot in Chicago's Garfield Park neighborhood. The incident occurred during a confrontation with a woman who, according to reports, shot Rainge during the altercation. The Chicago Sun-Times reported on October 19, 2023, that the woman involved was a concealed carry license holder.
