Alexus Z. Ward, 25, a Black woman from Chicago, was shot multiple times late on November 12, 2023, in the South Shore neighborhood. Police were called to the 6700 block of South Crandon Avenue around 11:20–11:30 p.m., where they found her outside near her home with multiple gunshot wounds.
