James Barnes, aged 53, tragically lost his life to gun violence on February 10, 2024, in Chicago, Illinois. His passing was a significant loss to his family and the community.

Born on June 29, 1966, James was the beloved son of Keith and Linda Barnes. He attended Collins High School, graduating in 1984. In 1998, he married Donna Barnes, and together they raised four children: Bernard, Travel, Kenneth, and Darius. James was also a proud grandfather to ten grandchildren.
