On March 30, 2024, at approximately 12:20 p.m., a 41-year-old male was fatally shot on the 8200 block of South Elizabeth Street in Chicago. The victim was identified as Kevin T. Garrett Sr. The following day, March 31, 2024, 18-year-old Kevin Garrett, residing on the same block, was arrested in the 4600 block of North Marine Drive.
