On April 6, 2024, a fatal shooting occurred in the West Englewood neighborhood on Chicago's South Side, resulting in the death of Clifton Boyd, a 55-year-old man. The incident took place around 11 a.m. in the 6700 block of South Ashland Avenue. According to police, Boyd was shot after someone fired a gun at him from a vehicle.
