On May 1, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in the residential area of Vernon Hills, Illinois, resulting in the deaths of Victoria Ceja, 67, and her husband, Ramiro Ceja, 77. The couple was found deceased in their single-family home located in the 400 block of Cherry Valley Road. The discovery was made at approximately 9:20 a.m. when the Vernon Hills Police Department and the Countryside Fire Protection District responded to a call reporting two people possibly deceased inside the residence.
