On June 22, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in the Englewood neighborhood of Chicago, resulting in the death of 16-year-old Marvel White. The shooting took place around 6:38 p.m. at Ogden Park, located in the 6500 block of South Racine Avenue. According to police reports, Marvel White was involved in a verbal altercation with an unknown offender, which escalated to the point where the offender pulled out a gun and fired shots, striking Marvel in the chest and legs.
