Aaronayjah Medley, a 17-year-old girl, died on July 9, 2024, due to injuries sustained from a shooting that occurred early in the morning of July 5, 2024, in the North Lawndale area of Chicago, Illinois. The incident took place inside an apartment in the 1200 block of South Central Park Avenue around 1:40 a.m. Aaronayjah was struck in the head by gunfire and was subsequently taken to Mount Sinai Hospital for treatment.
