Melody Joiner, a 42-year-old African American woman, was tragically killed on May 5, 2022, in a domestic shooting incident in the Bronzeville neighborhood of Chicago, IL. Officers found her with a gunshot wound to her chest at around 9 a.m. in the 4300 block of South King Drive. Despite immediate response, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
