Michal Ciskal, a 25-year-old Polish immigrant, was fatally shot on July 14, 2024, during an attempted carjacking at a gas station in the 5400 block of South Wells Street in Chicago's Fuller Park area. The incident occurred shortly before 8 a.m. as Ciskal was on his way to work. He was shot in the chest and later died from his injuries.
