Russell Douglas Novak, a 70-year-old resident of Plano, Illinois, was fatally shot in his home on September 27, 2024. The incident occurred in the 3800 block of Pratt Street, where Plano police responded to a report of gunshots around 6:45 p.m. Upon arrival, they found Russell Novak with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite attempts at life-saving efforts, Novak succumbed to his injuries.
