Theotis H. Hasan II, a 29-year-old resident of Hephzibah, Georgia, was fatally shot in the early hours of February 1, 2023, in Augusta, Georgia. The incident occurred after Hasan ended a Facebook live stream where he was rapping and walking through a public housing project. During the live stream, he made statements that could be interpreted as provocative, saying, “You scared to come in the projects when it’s dark, ha. You a thug and got no heart, ha”.
